Stan Can Design is always seeking to grow as a creative studio, and one of the best ways to do that is to continue to bring in quality talent and skill-sets with every new hire. That's why we're pleased to announce the newest member of our creative team, Kelly Peyton. Peyton will bring an organic approach to design with her experience as a painter and illustrator.
Peyton was formerly a freelance graphic designer, but is returning to the trade once more with the intention of treating it like an art form. Peyton was Artown 2011's featured artist, where she met Stan Can Design's very own Stan Byers and Kelly Wallis.
"Kelly brings a very unique skill set to the table with her background," said Byers. "Her talents as a fine artist and illustrator will continue to evolve our firm, and her perspectives help us to progress as a business."
Peyton graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting and drawing, and minor in art history. Recently, Peyton finished a two month artist residency in Mexico painting murals. Murals are her passion, she says, and she has painted several throughout the Reno community, including the Great Basin Community Food Co-op.
To avoid confusion, we've been referring to her as "KP". Partly because it's catchy, but mostly because Kelly Wallis isn't quite ready to launch her solo rap career as "K-Dubbs". Check out KP's original artwork at her website and stay tuned to see the awesome stuff she designs with us, as well.
